Jennifer Jancuska (she/her) is the founding artistic director of BringAbout Development, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to developing dance as a narrative tool early in the process of writing new musicals and plays and to conceiving and creating theatrical productions for audiences that expand perspective, empathy and one’s understanding of themselves through storytelling that is specific and authentic to community, culture and places. Jennifer has seven years of Broadway experience leading the Broadway company of Hamilton as Resident Choreographer & Dance Supervisor, leading over 200 Broadway professionals and collaborating directly with Andy Blankenbuehler and Tommy Kail. Her work as a director and choreographer has been seen at Ars Nova, Little Island, The Old Globe, Berkeley Rep, The Public, Dallas Theatre Center, Goodspeed, Madison Square Garden, New York Musical Festival, Osolo Rep, Little Field, The Drama League, The Skirball Center, Trinity Rep, The Royal George Theater, Flat Rock Playhouse and more. Especially impactful collaborators also include Wagner Johnson Productions, DEM productions, Phish, Marc Bruni, Nevin Steinberg, Philip Rosenberg, Jason Sherwood, Anita Yavich, Trish Santini, Pig Pen Theatre Co, Scott Wasserman, Enrico de Trizio, Ben Holtzman, Sammy Lopez, and Universal Theatrical Group.
Jennifer is known for producing the sold out bi-annual event BC BEAT, described by The New York Times as the place to “step into the spotlight and re-imagine the possibilities for dance in musical theater.”
As an educator, Jennifer has been a master teacher and guest lecturer at theatre and dance programs across the country and internationally including NYU GMTWP, Syracuse University, Ithaca College, Pace University, University of the Arts, College of Charleston, and Shanghai Theatre Academy.
Jennifer is a graduate of Cornell University and member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers. She resides in Brooklyn and is an avid traveler alongside her husband and two children - Linus, Ruthie.
