Jennifer is currently working with the Broadway company of HAMILTON as Resident Choreographer. In 2019, Jennifer is also collaborating as choreographer with Pig Pen Theatre Company and Marc Bruni on the world premier of THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX, heading to OLD GLOBE spring of 2019; with writers Matte O’Brien and Matt Vinson on ANNE OF GREEN GABLES: A NEW MUSICAL; with Robbie Sublett on the premier of a new web series; with Douglas Tieman-Waterbury and Scott Wasserman on the new musical JOHNNY AND THE DEVIL’S BOX (Goodspeed Writer’s Retreat); and with Max Reuben, Shaun Peknic, Ben Holtzman and Jocelyn Mackenzie of PEARL AND THE BEARD, on the development of fresh new musicals and plays. As creative director and choreographer of “Jennifer Jancuska + The BringAbout",” Jennifer continues to produce unique and vital development platforms via ASTIR, The BringAbout Salon, and BC Beat, which the New York Times claims is the place to “reimagine possibilities for dance in musical theatre.”
As a choreographer and associate director her work has been seen in collaboration with Madison Square Garden (immersive PHISH NYE), The Public Theater, City Center, Skirball Center, Dallas Theater Center, The Royal George, Flat Rock Playhouse, New London Barn Playhouse, Trinity Rep, Merrimack Theatre and Madison Square Garden, among others. Jennifer has been an artist in residence at The Drama League, Barn Arts, Musical Theater Factory, Rockwood Music Hall, and she is a finalist for The Jerome Foundation's SPRINGBOARD PROJECT. Recent projects include immersive experiences, concerts and productions staged at Madison Square Garden and Sea World/Busch Gardens Worldwide; the New York Times acclaimed play, FMK by James Presson, directed by Sash Bischoff; ONE HIT WONDER, produced by The Araca Group, directed by Hunter Foster, DIVA!, by Alex Sage Oyen and S.P. Monahan, directed by Daniel Goldstein.
Jennifer has been a master teacher and guest lecturer at NYU, Syracuse University, Ithaca College, PACE, University of the Arts, College of Charleston, and Shanghai Theater Academy. A graduate of Cornell University, Jennifer is the founder and creative director of BC Beat, a bi-annual choreography showcase featuring new work by theatrical artists with its 14th installment in 2019, co-founding Artistic Director of Broadway Connection, a national and international arts education organization, and Creative Director of ASTIR. @jencuska
