What is ASTIR?
ASTIR is a 5 hour residency with Jennifer Jancuska + The BringAbout. The purpose of the residency is to explore movement and dance as narrative tools in the development of new musicals and plays.

Who is JENNIFER JANCUSKA + THE BRINGABOUT?
Jennifer Jancuska is a choreographer and creative producer, as well as the founding Artistic Director of Brooklyn based company The BringAbout. Over the span of three years, The BringAbout has been engaged in development of more than 25 new works leading towards productions in New York, California, and Connecticut. The BringAbout includes a Broadway experienced music team: music director, percussionist, and additional musicians. The BringAbout’s official photographer and videographer, James Jin, is always onsite with The BringAbout, capturing process and product to support forward momentum of new works.

Who is in the room for ASTIR?
ASTIR a collaboration between Jennifer Jancuska + The BringAbout and the writers of new works. Meaning, The BringAbout and writing teams will be in the studio together for the 5 hour residency. If the new work is attached to, or considering a director, designers, and/or producers, they are invited to join the ASTIR as well.

Are there additional platforms for developing new work with The BringAbout?
