With deep gratitude to Founding Board Member Don Matteson for his in-kind gift of the property for our Kingston residencies and for funding artist meals, and to Advisory Board Member Joe Allen, whose gift launched this season's funding initiative.
BringAbout is planning its first silent auction to go live December 1, 2026. Proceeds support artist programming. Below is a list of individual opportunities to contribute and engage with the Silent Auction. Please indicate your interest by November 1, with a conversation to follow.
Ways to contribute to the Silent Auction
For example, Isabella Rossellini donated a 2-night stay at her farmhouse to the Baryshnikov Arts Center's auction, and together, a group of companies donated a season of tickets to dance performances.
If you are connected with any museums, theatres, organizations, or spaces that have the bandwidth to donate a season pass or short stay, that would be super exciting. Please add your name if you'd like to brainstorm this option further.
This could be a backstage tour for 2 at a current or upcoming Broadway show, an invited rehearsal, or signed memorabilia.
This is a 1-hour conversation with Broadway artists, moderated by Jennifer. It will be scheduled based on your availability, between January 1 and March 1, 2027.
Host a BringAbout fundraiser: The event can be virtual, in NYC, or where you are located.
You bring the guests; we bring the artists. Envision an intimate, fun gathering built around you and your community, with songs, conversation, and a behind-the-scenes look at making new work with Jennifer and BringAbout artists.
When: Any time between now and June 30, 2027.
How it raises money: The host is encouraged to pledge a fundraising goal (such as $2,000) and establish an event ticket price. For example, 20 guests at $100 each reaches $2,000. Ticket sales count toward the pledge.
This is an opportunity to co-produce with Jennifer, to shape BringAbout's next chapter in fresh, sustainable, and growth-oriented ways. Please choose from one or more areas listed below that you'd be excited to focus on:
This is an opportunity to help BringAbout create its first official logo and visual identity across media and programming. How might you help? Are you a designer? Do you have experience in marketing? Can you introduce BringAbout to a designer or design studio who might take on the nonprofit project pro bono or at a reduced rate?
Together, let's make a plan to connect BringAbout with people in your community who love the arts and would enjoy insider access to BringAbout artists and the making of new work. We're also looking for organizations (museums, theater companies, producers, and more) that could potentially grow into BringAbout partners or sponsors. Please add your name if you'd like to brainstorm this initiative together.
Our Cohort Artists are building careers that cross disciplines, and some of their best lessons come from people who've built full, dynamic lives of their own. Join Jennifer and BringAbout Cohort Artists for a 1-hour virtual office hour. Share your story and what you've learned along the way, and answer artists' questions in an open, informal Q&A.
Topics might include: Path to Broadway, Beyond Broadway, Financial Planning, Music Producing, Building a Career In and Outside the Arts, Grant Writing, Balancing Work with Raising a Family, Negotiating and Contracts, Starting a Business, or whatever you know best.
Thank you for jumping in! Need to make a change? Just send Jennifer a note.
